I haven’t had any problems with the two door knobs I have, I ended up buying the gateway to be able to unlock and lock the doors remotely using the Wi-Fi as with the Bluetooth, you have to be close to the doors for it to work. The app needs a major update, I don’t like how being able to lock the door within whatever seconds it is set automatically turns on, I feel it is a hazard, and once it has been turned off, it should not go on by itself, and with the app, I wish it shows the lock status instead of having to click it to see the status of that particular lock. And this is not really an issue, but an annoyance, the colors that show when the door is locked or unlocked, the red and green, should be switched, if the door is unlocked, it should be green and if the door is locked it should be red.

I purchased my geek smart doorknob over a year ago and I couldn’t be more happy than I am with it. The locks amazing. It comes with keys, plastic fobs, fingerprint compatibility, the ability to program passcodes, invite users, sync it with Alexa or Siri, grant permissions or revoke them all through the app. The app has never failed me. It never locks up, or freezes, it is used to program and change or delete fingerprints. You can use the app to open the door if someone knocks and I don’t wanna get up. Customer service can be reached directly thru the app using a live messenger feature and you can also email them thru the app. I had a problem with my first lock, I messaged them and in less than 5 days a new lock was delivered free of charge, no questions asked. They are by far my favorite company, they have thought of everything and make using products so easy. I rant all the time about my geeksmart products and the ease of connection thru the app. There are so many new products. If they are anything like the locks, you’d be lucky to have them and the app is so easy to navigate thru. Most smart products make me feel stupid, this one makes me look like a programming god. It never fails. I’ve only replaced the batteries in my lock 2 times in a year and I’m constantly on the app creating new passcodes, updating fingerprints ect. It connects thru bluetooth and doesn’t drain my phone or the locks batteries. I don’t understand why anyone would give it less than perfect ratings because my experience with them has been a pleasure. Thanks Geeksmart for creating solutions before problems arise and for being so friendly and thoughtful. It makes a huge difference in my life.

Device installation was easy and the fingerprint and key functions work flawlessly on my K01 lock. The issue as many others have pointed out is the app. Bluetooth connectivity is 50/50 at the best of times and the entire automations tab is essentially useless. Making functions is simple, unfortunately every time I try to set an action within them it erases the action after saving and does not work. With some work on the app this could be 5 stars.
