My husband and I are both really bummed out since we don’t get time to play games as it is, he bought me this game for my birthday and I was looking forward to playing it but the app won’t load from the “connecting” screen. We both have brand new iPhones that fully support the app we have tried the uninstall redownload thing and it’s not helping we did this about 10 times and I’m not able to take the game back for a refund because I already opened and set the game up Walmart says “it’s already been used” $25 that could have gone to something else that works is a bummer.
I bought this board game for my son because he loves ghostbusters and goosebumps so I figured this would be a fun game for us to play but can’t even play it because after you download the app you can’t get past the connection part to even get into the game to play. Waste of money and honestly wish I looked at reviews before I bought this game cause it seems like it’s been this way for awhile and the company is doing nothing about it to fix it. But allowing people to continue to waste their money on it. The whole point of this board game is to use the app
Was really excited for this game but stays on connecting screen. The game shouldn’t advertise the use of phones to make it immersive if it doesn’t work. It was a good idea but obviously lacks in execution. UPDATE!!: I deleted the app and redownloaded it, when it asked me for camera access I declined it and it loaded! I went back into my settings afterwards and toggled the camera access tab. I still haven’t played the full game but it seems to be working and I could see the monsters on the board with my phone.
