The amount I paid for the premium service was not worth it. First, in the lounge the bowls that were there for snacks were completely emptied and they failed to fill them up before our departure. Then once on the train the item I requested for my meal was no longer available . they stated they were out of it and offered some terrible chicken hash instead. This is what I got for my upgrade. I feel I deserve a refund! Never use premium service …. They are no better than!
7:08 train out of Amsterdam canceled. No one from Eurostar was available either at the station or via phone. Finally got a hold of Eurostar via phone when I was on 8:08 train and the person I talked to really didn't care that there are now two trainloads of customers trying to fit on one train. Also, no regard for those of us trying to make connecting trains as the response was, 'oh if you miss your train, just get on the next one'. Understand that there was an accident and major disruption throughout the system, but it behooves Eurostar in that situation to have all team members working to help customers who will be affected. There was no one at the Amsterdam station to help customers until 8:00 and they were woefully understaffed to meet the demands of the paying customer. Very disappointed in Eurostar and its crisis management and customer service.
Eurostar’s app and site (mobile and desktop, tried multiple browsers) change the date of the train I’m booking at the final stage of checkout. Glad I caught the change because the ticket would have been non-changeable. That aside, I’m unable to book on any device/channel because the birthdate fields do not hold my selections. I’m not sure how to explain this clearly without the visual but when I select a number in all three drop downs, they all start flashing spastically causing 1. The wrong birthday to be recorded and 2. Inability to move to the payment page (error message about required fields). This has been going on for a week so I’m guessing since it hasn’t been fixed yet it must not be a widespread issue. Otherwise, I’m not sure how any customers are managing to book trains. Feels like a priority 1 issue to me since it’s a complete blocker to booking a ticket. Please help! Thanks
