All I wanted was a 1 day pass in Paris. I tried to make an account with IDF, but it blocked me, saying my ip address was suspicious. I wasn’t using a VPN or anything, so not sure why. Next, I bought the pass without making an account, only putting my email address. It seemed to work, and it even charged me 12,30 euro. Then when I tried to load the Navigo pass into my Apple Wallet, the app crashed without adding the pass to my Apple Wallet! When I reopened the app, there was no way to recover the pass, even though I had been charged already. Also, even though I put my email address when purchasing, I didn’t receive any emails about my pass either. Finally, when I tried to request a refund within the app, it required me to login to an IDF account?! If you read the earlier half of this review, you will see that this whole disaster began because IDF wouldn’t let me make an account. Eventually, IDF did notice the Apple Waller failure, so I did get refunded, which is why my review is 2 stars not 1. Still these software issues are insane. I will use Bonjour RATP now.
10 years ago I decided to go to Paris from Antarctica on foot. I was dying from Alzheimers and lived in an igloo. When I made it after 2 years of walking and I got kidnapped by the French mafia. They held me for years feeding me once every 2 months. Suddenly one day the police found me and shot me because they thought I was a criminal. Then the hospital the nurse hit me with an IV bag for 5 hours straight. Then I saw someone’s phone on the floor. Suddenly I burst through the roof and went to the heavens. I saw gods from all mythologies and they all bowed down to me because I owned the app. Now I rule the universe because of the app.
Terrible experience. I cannot create account on the App and cannot submit support request since I do not have an account. How is it possible to contact Development team or Support Team in this case? I am located in USA. I submitted my inquiry to development Team via Apple App Store and week later [right before travel time] received below reply ‘Hello, to create an account, you must be on French territory and have a French phone number for security reasons. However, you can buy certain transport tickets without creating an account with the app. Thank you for your understanding and have a nice day, Maja from the Île-de-France Mobilités team."’. This is very frustrating as this explanation should exist as an Error message when someone trying to create an account. We already left Paris and used physical Navigo cards for travel needs instead of digital cards and this application. Time waisted to research this question was ~ 4 hours was completely waisted. Dev Team should think about User experience and implement such Error message / Warning in the Application. Very unfriendly.
