Crib With Your Friends

I’ve played cribbage off an on for 40 years. I’m a casual player who likes to think they are ok. Enter: this game’s bot. It quickly exposes the limits of my strategy. The smallest mulligan can mean the difference between a win and a loss. It took me a few games to get comfortable. I’m still not sure how to double check scoring during pegging. Once in a while, a mulligan is awarded to the bot and I’m left wondering why but it turns out, I never took the time to closely read the rules. I was today years old when I learned that runs of 4 or more are called at 3 points during pegging. Anyway, I love this version. Its fast and brutal. Good fun!

I continue to LOVE this cribbage app! What I have enjoyed most is that it is a self-peg crib game. Honestly my crib skills have improved after playing games on this app, one that has allowed me to do my own pegging! The updates on are amazing. The developer (Colin Ference) mentioned many “minor” improvements. Minor maybe, but very noticeable ones! I’m reaching for the stars now (new top level). The app now calculates and shows points received after playing a game. I also like when you’re playing against the computer, you can choose “no muggings” now. Definitely helps because the computer never makes a mistake (not that I have been aware of anyway.) Hey, don’t take my word for it, play and enjoy the updates! (Too many too comment on.) And if you’re new to the game “Crib with you Friends,” the new tutorial mode is very helpful! Every time I think the app can’t get any better… I have been proven wrong!!! Lots of awesomeness! Another update that I like very much is when I am playing against the computer waiting for a crib player, then someone joins to play, the new update allows me to finish my game against the computer after I play with the person who joined in. It’s an excellent Crib App… all positives from me!

My friend is new to cribbage, so we got this game because it doesn’t do all the math for you. The true art of this game is making sure you found your hand correctly and your opponent doesn’t take uncounted points (mulligans). This app is great because you have to think and count your cards properly. All other games count automatically, which speeds up the play a bit too fast. My friend was good at those, but with this app, she learned the real way to play, and now she’s turning into a pro! Pros: Free. Super easy to join a friend’s game. Can’t beat that. I appreciate that it has built-in slow-downs so you can see what’s happening as it happens. Lots of customizable features, although some require an in-app purchase. The free version is perfectly fine for casual play. Cons: The interface is a little odd at first. Could be smoother and more obvious. I didn’t know where to tap. After a game or two, you’ll get the hang of it. Thanks for making a free-to-play multiplayer with manual pegging! My friend and I have enjoyed hours on it and she has learned so much.
