They recently decided to update the app to have parity with the website, but in the worst possible way. The website has been limited to 500 “likes” for some time now. I discovered this after a few months of using Chrono24, so when I reached that limit on their website, I became devoted to purely being an app user. Bad news bears - this is now true for the app too. So now you can have a great time using the app… until that limit is reached. From that point forward it becomes the worst inventory-management game you could experience. You now need to be very selective with your likes. When you do eventually hit the limit anyways, you have to go through the decision making process of which watches to unlike. After some time you’ll want to just scroll to the oldest likes and start removing them to save the effort. Oh, bad news again - it looks like during the same update where they introduced limited likes, they also made each item in your “likes” list take up half the screen. With that, you’ll have to scroll hundreds of times to get to the end of your “likes” list and delete the oldest ones. Not worth the effort. Frankly, if I can’t track interesting products efficiently, I’ll just turn to a competitor that doesn’t make a simple task extremely complicated and time consuming.
So I have a lot to say and it's not positive but idk if I'm the one off so I hate to bash a company but at the same time. This could have been handled 100xs better. First off. If you are a US customer LET ME MAKE THIS LOUD AND CLEAR. Do NOT buy overseas if this is your first time. I just made this mistake. Not understanding the entire process. The app has zero phone support and 48 response time in app min. I have screen shots to prove it. The "trusted seller" didn't provide paperwork and now my 10k watch is stuck somewhere that FedEx and customs doesn't know where. If you are the broker. This is YOUR problem NOT MINE. I STRONGLY suggest people to consider this when using the app. You cannot delete messages. You cannot call chrono direct You have to wait 48 hrs plus for a response that doesn't make sense because "it's not their fault". This whole thing is beyond horrible from a first time user for this and not some $500 watch (no offense) I will never use this app again because quite frankly I don't trust anything anymore. I'm sure if this post actually gets posted they will have some response to make them look good... but let me tell you. If Ian actually the 1% that had a mess up. Sorry I don't believe it. Both and all parties should be banned from doing business this way. Btw it's been 9 days and I have ZERO idea where my watch is.
I’m a poor man when it comes to buying the luxury watch brands however I enjoy learning more about watches from a financial perspective. I am a self taught watchmaker, meaning I get the respect from my local Jewelry store watchmaker and I know enough to make me dangerous lol. But I bid on old vintage watches from eBay and enjoy it when I can make it run again. Im 62 years old and I’ve worn a watch since I was a kid. I appreciate Chrono24 and the opportunity for discovering new things that I didn’t know about. Thank you for all the content you provide. I finally have figured out a way to become a watch trader. And your site has allowed me to get into the luxury watch market one traded or sold watch at a time. Your site has allowed me as a poorman to finally wear a Rolex Explorer, Omega 300M, IWC portifino and a Glashutte original senator excellence. Thank you Chrono24. Ps. As a poorman it’s one watch or sometimes two watches that eventually get traded for a one watch deal. I wish I was a collector but I’ll take my watch enjoyment anyway I can get it.
