One life is not enough to go through all the material available on this amazing app. If you want to play online vs other players, unfortunately you need to look somewhere else. If you want to evaluate certain positions and games, again, need to find other app, you can use notations from this one. But if you want to learn, improve and master- this is the place to be. This app is suitable for all levels. Only super grandmasters will find it normal, even though they would still use it to practice and remember things. The material is infinite, from 1st step to last. There are tens of thousands puzzles, all explained thoroughly, all possible openings from ancient to modern, and all that you can play live on board while reading. You can also choose to play yourself vs the engine without any notations, or play whatever moves you want for both sides with following written text and moves. All the text is in Chinese, but you can translate everything. On the phone you can directly translate in the app via google translate. There are 20 best books available both in pdf and live in the game. All text and notations are written as you move. You can choose to follow that and learn, or deduce board and experiment yourself for both sides, or just play vs engine without any notations. Not enough space to write enough, just go for it and make sure you explore everything possible, every button. Some things might appear hidden

I was looking for a different app for Chinese chess as each app shows you different ways of playing. I like how you can swipe to the left to undo the last move. I appreciate the person or people who created this app.

This is more or less my introduction to 象棋 and I’m not sure I could’ve had much better apart from a person with a board who was really into it and a good teacher. The game flows well, looks good, and the fact that it allows me to save and annotate games as well as play so many practice endgames…it’s brilliant. Clearly a lot of love was put into this. My only notes: 1. It’s a shame so much of the documentation is only in Chinese. I do understand how difficult doing so much translation correctly would be, but I’d love honestly to pore through all of that literature. 2. For some reason, it’s not accepting when I beat the endgame scenarios and unlocking the next ones. This seems like a fairly crippling bug. 3. The option to annotate saved games is amazing, but it’s annoying that (as far as I can tell) I can’t go back and add or change annotations once it’s saved. 4.I finally beat the computer on easy—very satisfying! That said, it might be worthwhile to have a setting even easier, although the challenge is worth the reward and impetus to think. 5. More variety of piece designs, especially graphic/shaped ones, might be nice. 6. A way to disable the ads would be worth paying a bit for.
