i’ve been type one diabetic for just about 13 years now. i can’t tell you how many times growing up i would avoid carb counting and just guess and even as an adult i have to do that sometimes too. i recently decided to try this app after years of guessing and second guessing my measurements and calculations finally there is something for us diabetics to have a better idea of what we’re eating without having to measure every little thing. i tested this app with my dinner on the date of writing this review. i cross checked the measurements of the app with my own measurements on a simple meal. it got everything pretty dang close and i was impressed. i love that it gives an estimated absorption time as well for those that are using a pump that can extend boluses for them. to the developers, thank you for also including a celiac only mode for us diabetics who also have to deal with celiac disease such as myself. this app, despite being AI which i have my own opinions on, allows me to take so much of the mental load off of managing diabetes. thank you!
This app allows my daughter to have more self management for the times when I am not available, but it helps me too! We are now using the Twiist pump and it has an absorption setting for each meal bolus—this app helps us navigate absorption time with less guesswork. The app developer is also very responsive to questions. Well done!!
