The app requires payment authorization which is harder to get through than any immigration system. Live chat could only help confirm your email, which no where in the app says a verification is needed. Then payment even after bank app verification cannot be authorized. Calling the hotline was basically the same. All very nice people but the back end simply does not cooperate. My credit card now has 10s of pending 0.01 transactions from Brompton hire, but my account is still not working! And one account per bike, imagine setting up 2 accounts.

You would think a company that has the ingenuity to make the best foldable bike in the world would be able to have a basic app that works. I was traveling from out of the country and was so excited to use the kiosks in London during my trip. It took hours to set up an account with tech support because they could not verify my phone’s location while on wifi at my hotel. Tech support also continued to gaslight me and tell me “there is nothing wrong with the app.” All the bad reviews say otherwise.

Endless useless and cryptic error messages. Charged my card multiple times without actually allowing me to set up an account. I had to go to the website to creat my account only to be told they must call me to complete the process. Wish the app could have told me that!
