I used this app a few weeks ago to livestream a meditation service from my iPad 4 mini. It was super easy to set up and viewers thought the audio and video quality were great. Unfortunately, when I logged back into the app a couple days ago after an update, the app crashed every time I tried to open it. After trying a bunch of stuff to troubleshoot, I finally decided to use the chat feature on the Boxcast website to get help. They responded right away with a suggestion that fixed the problem.
Why the paranoia about logging the user out after 24 hours? If someone is truly concerned about security, why can’t they log themselves out after using the app? What is the worst that someone can do? The release notes for the latest version say that you can edit more things using the mobile app but I did not see anything added. You still cannot add backgrounds be in the mobile app and this is a great inconvenience. I don’t like having to use a computer to setup the livestream.
I’m not here saying the app is bad, I bet it is absolutely great, and worth more than 3 stars, but making an account was VERY unclear, and I could not do it in the app or on the website for some reason. I will obviously look into it deeper. I thought it was exclusive at first, but the reviews say it is a very great app. I bet it is, honestly. I just wish there were more precise directions on all of this. Sorry to sound negative, I am not saying this app is bad by any means. Honestly I bet it’s worth it. Except I was not able to go past the startup screen. Coming from a world of simplicity and always having everything right in front of me, I know I was probably too harsh on this app. My greatest apologies.
