I love love love BiggerPockets. I listen to the podcast and read the forums all the time! I use to use the website more and then I moved onto the app cause it was a little more convenient than looking up the website every time. But I have to say the app is due for a major UX/UI change. I feel like there is no major flow between the app and everything seems out of placed. Like changing tab where you have to scroll to the left and right for each mention or keyword or connection is not smooth and should instead be a drop down tab to see all options. Also making the forums more organized and easier to find would be better as well. Still support the platform but the app just needs to be modernized. Would be mad if they copied Reddit or Discord’s UI.
The podcast and site are great, but as others pointed out, the app needs work. It gives inaccurate results on search, freezes, lags, crashes at least I’d say 30% if not the majority of the time. I feel like usually negative reviews aren’t necessarily warranted, and I don’t often leave reviews (and if I do, they’re 5*), but I hope this helps add to the voices that want a rehaul of this app so they actually change it. It’s basically making it harder for me to make a habit of learning about REI and networking since I use my phone a lot more than other devices as I imagine many do / will. Not sure if they found a person with like the cheapest rate on Fiverr or something to put this together lol, but obvi BP has a huge following so I kinda don’t understand why they don’t improve this. Being a tad tech savvy, I’m fairly certain it can be substantially fixed within a month or 3 max. Can’t bring myself to subscribe to any of their services until then, since I can imagine deal analyzers etc being constantly inaccurate & crashing so best to just use other resources. 🤞 they address it
I’ve learned a ton from using biggerpockets and definitely recommend it! The app is mostly fine for me, but there is one thing I’d love to see change. When looking at posts in the forums, if someone replies to the OP, the OP’s entire post is quoted in the reply. This is fine, except on posts that get a lot of engagement it gets really tiring (and sometimes confusing) to have to keep scrolling past the same content over and over just to see what the reply says. If the OP’s post was long then it’s also not completely clear where their post ends and where reply starts, so I’d say the app needs some clearer UI/UX.
