I usually don’t write reviews but seeing so many people frustrated with the expensive device and cannot connect the adapter, I decided to share my experience. Hopefully this helps some people out there. DO NOT USE THIS DEVICE TO CONNECT! TAP Instead! Use your phone to tap the adapter like you are paying with Apple Pay. Then the phone will recognize this device and has a pop up on the bottom of the screen asking if you wanna connect and add this device to Home app. Go through that setup such as choosing a room, assigning a name for the device. Then ouala ith the expensive device and cannot connect the adapter, I decided to share my experience. Hopefully this helps some people out there.

I’m disappointed to find after several months using this app that the worst reviews have proved to be true. While the receiver device itself is really practical, I have to reset it several times a day due to syncing issues with AirPlay. I feel like this could be easily solved with minimal work on the software, but as it stands after three years without an update, the app is useless except to pair and name the device.

It might be capable of using AirPlay2 but good luck actually setting it up. The app was written by a teenager, never tested. The instructions are worse. I’m yet to actually play a song on this because of this so I can’t speak to sound quality. As another use said, you can’t add a device if you already have a SoundForm product without unplugging the other one. As an electrical engineer with extensive software experience, this is total amateur level of work you’d not expect from a well known company. Particularly at the price point.
