This app works just as it should. It works exactly like all my other card apps. Charges show up as soon as they are made, but pending and do not reduce your remaining credit balance for a couple of days. My payments are shown as soon as make them, but are pending and do not reduce the balance owed for a couple of days. The cards that appear to credit your outstanding balance immediately don’t actually do so. If you look at available credit it will show the payment has been applied, but the outstanding credit amount doesn’t change for a couple of days. So, if does exactly what I got it to do. I read reviews that claim charges hit immediately but payments hit days later. I can tell you that is not the case. I made a charge and a payment the same day. They were both pending for the same amount of time, and had no effect on either my balance owed or my available credit until they both posted. This is a great app, and I recommend it
The App makes it easier to review your account and purchases without having to go into the browser. The App is on your phone your info is in the App and it is simple to make payments and check your purchases and Cash Bank info. “So far so good.” Thank you for making it easier. Although, sometimes I can’t understand the way the calculations are or how to add my purchases because they come in pieces and because of that I’m not sure if I owe at that time or in the new bill coming up. I usually like to pay in “chunks” rather than just the “monthly amount due”—that would be more confusing to just pay the monthly amount especially if I’m making more purchases on top of each other. I do like the fact I can send payments in at anytime. I may call and ask Customer Svce to help me understand. Other than that, thank you for the Service.
This is an excellent app to give you an idea of what you owe and how much you spent. The reason I say that it gives you an idea of things as opposed to exact numbers is because their app can't do basic math, nor can it figure out how to apply your payment AND reflect the new balance. A aaa I can give dozens and dozens of examples, but I'll give the current one that I'm looking at right now. Four days ago (weekdays/not holidays), my balance was $4.76. This was an actual charge that cleared as opposed to a pending charge. So I tapped on the Pay Now button and it gave me different options. I chose to pay the full amount due of $4.76, and I chose for the payment to be applied "now". That was 4 weekdays ago. Aaa a Balance is still $4.76 as I type this. My payment appears in my online statement in the completed section, NOT THE PENDING SECTION. The pending section is empty---no charges and no payments pending. So then why does my balance still show $4.76? I don't know, but it'll remain that way for several more days. I have paid all of my bills electronically for over 15 years now. I've only been using this app for maybe six months, and it is a very odd app. I'd be happy to give it 5 stars if they changed the programming on this thing so that it works like the thousands upon thousands of other bank apps out there!! Even though I owe ZERO and there are NO pending payments and NO pending charges, anyone looking at my account on this app (including me) would see that I owe $4.76. But I don't. It's paid for, and it was done 4 days ago! How about it, Synchrony? Can someone there please reply with an answer? This is the strangest banking app I've ever seen or used. It makes no sense at a all. Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?
