Zipline - Drone Delivery

First delivery did not release my items and then took off. However, It was really easy to contact someone and have it resent. I didn’t get mad because it’s Trial and error and i get to be a part of it. However, this is the most fascinating aspect. It was fairly windy outside. The drone itself is quite large and maintained its position. I was concerned that the drop line might be affected by the strong winds, but it hardly deviated from its path. It has a jet or some type of propeller that prevents it from swaying and landing in a yard that isn’t mine. Very interesting and incredibly impressive to witness

This is a very cool, very convenient, easy and quite possibly essential service, however… there are still many issues that need to be addressed and corrected. Like when an order is fulfilled incorrectly. There is no way to reach an associate on site with Zipline. When I called Walmart (which is where my order came from via Zipline) they said Zipline was a separate entity and they couldn’t resolve my issue. They did say they could relay a message to them. Still not very helpful. And then, how does my order get corrected? In my situation I do not have a means of transportation, so I can’t “simply” drive to the store. As far as the app goes; use and ordering is simple BUT again, there is no way to contact the company, through the app. I tried using the contact methods shown, and they don’t work. The chat does not allow you to type a message and the AI does not respond to the pre-text. A bug that needs to be tested and addressed. Hence, I’ve had to leave this review, in hopes my customer service issues can be addressed.

We had just installed our patio cover today so I forgot to choose a clear spot for the drop. It came by and tried to adjust the location but when my husband came out unexpectedly as it was dropping, he was apparently too close and it pulled back up and left. The delivery status then came up delayed. I was notified it was launched again and delivered 20 minutes later. My location was less than 3 minutes away so it saved us a drive while we were entertaining. It was very nice to be able to watch football and wait for a cool delivery. Amazing!
