Zions Bank Mobile Banking

Well to begin, I’ve loved banking with Zions and I’ve been with them for 5+ years. Love the customer service. Have had 0 issues with going in and talking with someone but man this app is no other word but FRUSTRATING. It always gives me notifications that “the network is unavailable, try again later” or there are constant updates. You’d think with all the updates it’d be running well. Then there’s the issue with the passwords. Granted, I am forgetful when it comes to passwords but there have been multiple times I’ve entered the password correctly and it gives me the error message that it’s wrong then when I do change the password it tells me the network is unavailable. This is really frustrating when I’m trying to make sure a bill went through or how much I have in the account so I can make sure there will be no overdraft. I’ve contacted my phone carrier service and internet service on many occasions to make sure it’s not my service or phone but I always get the same answer, it must be the app your connection is fine. I’m no computer programmer or designer but my husband banks with another establishment for his work that is equal to the performance of Zions in our opinion when it comes to overall experience and he cannot believe how much hassle it is for me to do my online banking in comparison to how easily he gets his done. Like I said I love Zions but especially with the times we are in I may look elsewhere for Mobil and/or banking services because I can’t drive to a Zions bank location everyday to have them tell me my balance.

I get just a blank screen under the settings screen in the app so biometrics options can’t be enabled. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and still no go. Biometrics (face recognition) are enabled on my iPhone X and work fine in other apps. This has been a problem in this app for well over a year and on previous phones for finger recognition. I’m not happy that I have a security risk every time I open the app and have to not only re enter my password but it also doesn’t store my login despite enabling the login to be stored at the login screen. ***UPDATE: I read through other comments and once again deleted the app as the developer suggested for others reporting the same issue in prior posts. Although I know I tried deleting and reinstalling the app as recently as just 5 months ago, I figured MAYBE it was worth one more try. Surprisingly, It did work. Clearly the developer needs to really work on getting these issues resolved without deleting the app again or at the very least offer a message to all mobile clients IN THE APP that the bug can’t be fixed with just an update. Why waste so many people’s time when you know of a solution and that it occurs with a broad spectrum of users for iPhones??? Do you really think there are many users out there willing to spend this kind of time trying to tell you about your bug? Do your customers a favor zions bank and be a little more proactive about this.

This app is for Zions Bank account holders. Instantly see your account balance, deposit checks (certain limitations and restrictions apply) with your camera, pay bills and make transfers between Zions internal bank accounts and even with external accounts. I have been a Zions customer for more than fifteen years. It has been such a terrific bank that even though I moved east (for my job) and the nearest bank location is now more than 800 miles away I have continued banking with Zions. This app is almost like having a local bank branch in my pocket. Every function simply works and very easy to use, with functions grouped intuitively. However, my only dislike is that some of the navigation labels leave a little to be desired. Once you have used the app a little bit navigating around inside the app is easy and natural. As I said using a function in the app is easy, finding the functionality in the app can be difficult until you have used the app a few times and become familiar with it.
