Winner - Tournament Maker App

I’ve used this app for a few months now to keep track of League matches and like all the tracking features, customizations, and ease of use. After running a Fall league it was time to have a Winter tournament using the league standings for seeding. I decided to purchase a Pro membership to add custom logos for each player and to get rid of ads. I had a lot of challenges trying to upload a PNG image from the photo gallery in my phone (which is the only option available for custom logos) and was never able to successfully upload an image with a transparent background. However, customer support was really responsive and was able to upload the images for me. It’s nice to have customer support like this which I’ve found lacking for other apps. I hope they allow images to be uploaded from more than just the Photos app on iPhone/iPad. I think if I was able to upload a file from elsewhere on my phone that may work.

This app is nearly flawless in my opinion, it’s easy to use and it’s at a good price and everything. They update regularly so whatever issues that are there are usually fixed. I’ve even offered feedback before and they’ve listened. With that, I do have one more idea: The sports that are supported on here are limited to kind of “1v1” sports. I regularly have fun little racing leagues for my sisters and their friends (like mariokart and other games) and usually if we want to use our own points system or do more than four races on mariokart I have to just tally points on a notepad. I would love a “racing” option on here. the way I envisioned this was to add “racing” as a team sport, but instead of listing the teams, list the “players” for each team, since those would be the drivers. On the standings tab you can have kind of a choice to view drivers or constructor’s championship. Then on that first page that typically has the league format, you could enter the points system you’d like. Finally, instead of a matchmaking schedule you could have each event listed out. Clicking on the event would let you order the competitors in whatever order the finished, the same way you operate a table in the Apple notes app. I guess you could also randomly simulate race results based on rating, but that’s not as important to me. Still definitely have an option to add or take away points so when my older sister rams everyone off the circuit, she can get what she deserves. I don’t know if that’s a lot to ask for, but I’ve never seen any app like this ever so if you guys did it you’d likely be the first. Certain things like changing teams mid season wouldn’t be reflected well with the above suggestion, but it’s just an idea. I also don’t know what you’d do for like a “rally” type thing, I guess just instead of deciding the final order you’d enter in times, and points are awarded accordingly?

This is an all around great app for people who would want to track their own leagues, tournaments, and playoffs. I mainly use it for the hockey league I’m in charge in. For the hockey template I recommend adding these things that’ll make the app easier to use. 1) When your scoring a game and the home team scores a goal it would be nice if there was a goal horn. 2) When I press the penalty button when a penalty is committed it’ll be nice if I was able to state what the penalty was for (Hooking, Charging, Delay of Game, etc) 3) I don’t like how instead of having periods it has the soccer way of time. 4) Instead of the overall players in the main screen being placed in alphabetical order, they should be placed in the time they were added (It gets hard looking for players for different teams if they’re alphabetically ordered) 5) There should be a shot on goal option when scoring a game. 6) It’ll be cool if we could add the team’s goalie and how much shots they saved or let in. Then we can compare goalies by their save percentage, wins, and losses. 7) When a player scores the app should ask how they scored (Wrist Shot, Slap Shot, Snap Shot, Tip In, etc) and the type of goal (Power Play (PP), Short Handed (SH) or Empty Net (EN)). Like I said it’s a great app, but adding these things will make it better for people who love hockey.
