W-Park

I recently signed up for W Park thinking I could beat the cue at the parking machine. Installation went smoothly except where it says accept terms and conditions, it would email me the verification and not move forward. However i closed the app and relogged in and it was fine Then came the part where i added my credit card and card details. The system picked up the car arrival time correctly and i thought i was good to go out now. As fate would have it as soon as i reached the barrier it wouldnt open and i had to call the help line through the booth. The guy was helpful and manually took payment for the session. I think its about time the SLA with the vendor was reviewed and a fresh set of FAQs with a video put in place to get ppl used to the app. Maybe i did something wrong on my end maybe the internet wasnt working but i’m not sure why it wouldnt work as many other reviews pointed out. The interface is good and generally makes sense but the anxiety of not knowing whether you paid or not will remain until the app is fixed. Furthermore, the session in the app can be disposed off manually now that i paid through credit card at the booth. Take a another go at the app and also do some user acceptance testing to fix the kinks. Thanks

I’ve used the Westfield parking app many many tines over the years and have always been impressed by its smooth and efficient operation. Turn up, car is recognised and barrier opens. Same on exit and I am immediately notified of the card charge (always correct). Simples. So I was stunned when my phone told me the app no longer exists and I went in search of an explanation. Apparently the new app is much better said Westfield - wow I thought, how can you get better than perfect? Found the W-Park app and downloaded it, hoping the login and all my cars/cards would be carried over. No such luck - password not recognised so reset that. Couldn’t get past the data privacy page for a long time until it randomly “accepted” my selections. Then received no less than 9 welcome emails! Then was asked for card information by which time the clunky interface was making me wonder whether it was a scam app, so I decided to do more due diligence first. FAQs link to USA corporate HQ website - of no relevance at all. Then found all the hideous reviews which I’ve no reason to doubt and which mean I’m now deleting this app. Back to manual payment at the machine for me. What a very silly move from Westfield - why on earth would anyone ditch something great for something truly rubbish?

I have been to Westfield Stratford many times and since this W park has launched I need to think twice that I will go through the horrors of parking there which I never used to have when old system was working. First to go through the whole load of rubbish of installing the app etc which other reviewers also mentioned then on exiting the car park with confusion in mind that if it will be paid automatically through my card or should I pay at the kiosk!! Today the gates won’t open automatically like it used to without hassle. Had to press the help button waited for good 5/6 min to exit. On arriving home checked the account which didn’t show any transaction of parking plus the app showing ongoing parking which gave me a heart attack thinking it might be adding up while I’m at home!!!! Tried calling Westfield helpline, I was first in the queue waited there for good 10 minutes to be attended but then message came that due to unforeseen circumstances the call can’t be answered so try again later. So much of my time wasted in all of that and still not sure why the system which worked fine was switched to this awful W app. WHY??
