Volmix: AutoTune & Beats

The app is very great. I sing a lot, so it is helpful when I have a beat for my lyrics. One thing I will say is that once you choose the options of like hip hop or pop, that’s all you get. I want a sad beat and I can’t get to one. I just wish we could have more variety and not limitations on songs. I would really like to get premium, to do so many other things. Great app, install, but don’t use it for everything.

I had just written a song and wanted to find a good app to record and auto tune it on. Since this app had such good reviews I thought I’d download it. The second I opened the app, the first thing that popped up was the app asking if I wanted to try a three day free trial for unlimited access, or buy it for x amount a week. I had not even seen the inside of the app before it started asking for money, and that seemed a bit absurd. Then, without the free trial and crap, I go to record my song. After I am done recording it, I play my song and it sounds NOTHING like how I sang it. It sounded awful. It sounded super robotic and had completely different notes. I believe I sounded better without the auto tune, because I have a naturally good singing voice. I was very disappointed with this app and hope that either A: The developers fix it (or) B: You don’t download it Do not waste your time or your money on this app, or is not worth it. Thank you for your time.

**NEW MUSICIANS/ SONGWRITERS BE CAREFUL** I was scrolling through for fun and noticed a lot of songs whose names, melodys and rythymns sounded very familiar. Titles like “enemy”, “running up that hill” (in a stranger things-esque font), “happier” “about d*mn time” (with a plus size dark skinned female in the picture) “shake it off” , “die young”, “beggin”, “Faded”, “Savage”, “see you again”, and a handful more. Most of them are very obviously the same song and some were just taken up by 1 or 1/2 step. Others are only identified by the quiet chord progression in the background. I don’t know if you creators have these artist’ permission to do that, but considering “See you again” was put under electro and sounded just different enough to say it’s not “the same”; I’d say you don’t. If you’re looking to make music PLEASE don’t click on a song that has a name of one that already exists. Songs can only be legitimately sampled before it can be grounds to claim copyright. Most times I would’ve minded my business but this was 10+ songs that seemed blatantly “sampled”
