Voiceforge

I downloaded the app for the wiseguy voice aka the voice of Dave Miller from the FNAF fan game Day shift at Freddy’s but every time I try to type something it freezes and I have to reload it and then it freezes again and sometimes it crashes. I could deal with the constant ads although they are annoying but I’m rating this low because I can’t even use the app for more than half a minute before it freezes. Please fix this. The app is simple and cool so that’s why I give it 2 stars instead of 1 but it desperately needs fixed.

“The fast and simple interface makes text to speech a breeze.” - Voice Forge Yeah, unless you’re spammed with advertisements every 10 words you type. It’s really frustrating to use this program when you’re bombarded with advertisements, especially when you love the voices for this program. I miss the browser version. Another annoying feature is that you literally cannot get rid of advertisements UNLESS you pay for a $20 subscription. Please, PLEASE adjust and tweak some of the designs for this program so it isn’t so hate-able.

So I found about this app last week when the demo was removed. I thought I would try it. Here's my thoughts on it. First, why do we need to sign in or sign up for accounts? I don't get that. Also, there are some accessibility problems with voiceover with the app. When typing text, you can't go up and down the cursor and have it read what you said. When you type, it will tell you how much characters are remaining, and The voiceover screen reader won't actually say what you type when you write something. Another thing, why did you trash the PC version? If you wanted to do that, I would consider making a downloadable copy for these voices. I know Cepstral has a few that you can download, but you should add more. Also, why would you need a subscription to download files? If you wanted to charge someone for that, it would be good to make a one time purchase. Unless it was a yearly subscription that's fine. Last thing, could you at least change the character limit from 145 to 330 or 430? Overall it's pretty cool but just some suggestions that may make it better.
