First of all I will say thanks for your prior response. However, this app is really very complicated compared to what we did before or it’s not very well done for IOS. I tried playing the monthly squares game twice now and last time there were pictures you pressed and underneath was either a fruit or a non healthy item and boom you pick one and it’s wrong and you failed. This month all the squares were black and I chose two different ones and both were non healthy items but I had no idea what I was picking. Really dumb and this is what I have to do to try and gain the reward for my reduced health ins premium!?!? In addition, I tried to plan my points. I can’t find any crossword which I am supposed to be able to see and then there is another bingo activity…I never got a card on the website. What the heck? How did I mess this up so bad? I will be complaining to my employer and requesting they review this as their choice for incentives - terrible! At least on StayWell you reviewed some video content and took a test and got the points. I walk every day and track that with the app and it is connected to my IPhone and Iwatch, but I have no desire to be required to download yet more apps connected to this program to earn this incentive because then my information is out there even more. You say you are HIPPA compliant and I say it is B.S. that healthcare employers are holding my benefits hostage while I am working every day in a busy ER dealing with a global pandemic! Shame on you for this awful app that doesn’t work well and shame on my employer for not simply giving me my insurance for all the hard work I do. My next call will be to a consumer reporter- no way I can get 6000 point and my husband 3000 at this rate!
I’ve always been relatively healthy and active, but I find that being able to earn points has pushed me to work even harder to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. If I’ve had a long, sedentary day at work, I take an extra evening walk so that I can get my 10,000 steps in. Not only do I have fun earning the points, but that activity after a day of sitting makes my posture straighter and I can tell I sleep better because of the fresh air and calories I burned later in the day. Vitality also has kept me on track with yearly medical activities (flu shot, mammogram, etc.) that are easy to skip when I get busy. My dog loves all the walking and gets great checkups at the vet also. Thanks for a great program.
Overall a decent app, but the sleep function only works about half the time. Only about half the days of successful 8-hour nights actually stick and get recorded on the 30-day cycle. Another way the app could be improved is by adding more options to the activity submission form. For example, the only workout submission option there is is “gym workout,” which is 10 points. I take a High Intensity Interval Training class twice every week, which should get me more points than a “standard workout,” but there’s no way to submit higher-intensity gym activities/classes, so I’m missing out on hundreds of points just because I don’t have a wrist activity tracker that tracks my heart rate during those classes and would likely result in at least getting some credit for the high-intensity HIIT classes and circuit training I do several times per week. Another good addition to that form would be dance/movement classes. That is just as intense a workout as anything else, if not more intense, and should be something that can be given credit for.
