Look I donโt mind taking a little extra time to get things done but Iโve just started the game what yesterday? And already Iโm at a block because 1.) they donโt explain how you get things like tech points or rope or the basics & 2.) to level up your technology you have to spend more time watching adds and babysitting your village to ensure EVERYONE is on research duty to earn tech you canโt open the farm which you end to lvl up your village because they wonโt breed without a second foodsorce and the farm requirement is whirlwind and apparently you have to invest in spiritual tech training to unlock so I can finsh building homing huts because they require a golden child I canโt get vines for rope to finish the earth quake quest or puzzle because that requires a high tech skill that costs 800,000 tech like I just started man I canโt harvest anything new because โI donโt have anywhere to put that itโs only day two and Iโm thinking of quitting I shouldnโt have to use the internet to go through every little step right at the beginning of the game and it shouldnโt be so complicated to unlock the beginning basics, Iโll give this game one more day before I delete it but yeah not worth it they just want money
I think a lot of things are done right and the new mechanics are great, but as someone who has played the fuzzy Windows demo as a kid, I am in it for the village life simulation and wish it was expanded a bit more by now. While Iโm glad not all the islanders are super pale anymore (which didnโt make sense for a tropical island) there still doesnโt seem to be a lot of gene variation. Iโve always liked keeping track of my villagersโ lineage so having an in-game way of doing so would also be appreciated. The UI could be scaled down and the buttons are more colorful and not so island themed which looks less interesting. My biggest small gripe is I donโt like that the villagers vocalize just when you select them (previously it was when you picked them up) as I find it grating when checking in on all of them, especially the now higher-pitched โhey!โ when tapping a male villager. VV6 leans into the god sim aspect of the series and I donโt want to feel like Iโm interfering with the little tribe so much. Mobile gaming is not the same as it was and I hope theyโll continue to make improvements or go bigger on a new installment while sticking to its nostalgic life sim roots.
First, I just wanna give a thanks to the people who made this and have been for years. The whole point of this game is a couple Of people sometimes kids are found on an island and they do not have any basic resources they all have to learn overtime and do research and practice and practice they make an actual flowing village as it advances over time just like in real life. Yโall all saying oh my gosh, it takes forever to progress. You have to buy stuff if you want to progress faster. No the whole point is to take your time and complete puzzles just like it would be in real life when caveman or whatever you believe started. I absolutely love this game and see the whole point of it. I know Iโm wording this terribly, but I just hopped on over here to see everyone elseโs opinion and I was disappointed. I think this game is awesome. And the graphics are way better. I appreciate the graphics before tho very nostalgic Iโve been playing these since they first came out. Canโt wait for the next one.
