Absolutely obsessed with this game, and I got my mom hooked on it too. The graphics and music are cute. The tasks are cozy and easy to complete. The only thing I wish was slightly changed is the method of getting roses. I like the methods available now, but I wish there were more ways. As far as I know, the only way to get roses is by players gifting them to you (which means you have to be lucky enough for someone to visit and want to gift any roses they have) or you collect roses from the subscription pass (which means you have to spend real money and complete a certain amount to tasks to get some). I don’t mind these methods, but I wish there was another way to get roses that isn’t dependent on either in app purchases or waiting for someone to visit your farm and decide they would like to gift some.
Overall, Viladia has been a very fun and calming experience. I admire how nearly every new level keeps you on your toes with the unlocking new recipes, factories, decorations, and plants. The main reasons I came onto write my own review, is because of two things. One, the community. And two, the slight problem with obtaining supplies from deer deliveries. For one, the community is most definitely full of the kindest and most helpful people I’ve ever experienced. Everyone helps one another, people can leave gifts like roses, and I do enjoy fertilizing and watering friend’s crops and trees. That is definitely my favorite part of the entire game. But for two, deer deliveries are nice. I like how they take a while, and it’s pretty chill with how people can help with needed supplies. However the rewards irk me. I have space for not even my trees all because I have enough rope to tie half of a blasted shoelace. I really hope that Viladia can eventually focus on needed supplies too instead of piling me with unneeded ink and paper, thank you.
Went into this thinking it would be another farm sim I’d get bored of in a few hours. Definitely not the case!! I really love the involvement with the community and being able to get cute clothes with hearts just by helping others out, though I do hope more cosmetics come in the future. It’s a great casual game since production/crops/animals take some time but it’s not so much time that you’re waiting several hours to a day+. The only thing that gets tedious is clams. Only so many spawn in after so long and the spawn rate is SLOW; then, they’re practically gone instantly since so many things demand them. They’re hard to find even on the player market, and when available, are often quite expensive. I can see how they bring a sense of balance to keep a bit of a grind so it’s not too easy, but sometimes it can be overwhelming. I see many players including myself getting deer and lotus deliveries that require a bajillion clams and clam recipes. Apart from that, I really do love the game, the community, the art, and so so much more! If you’re patient and want that casual farm sim that scratches the right part of your brain, this is it :D
