Today is Black Friday 2025 and I took my daughter to the Victoria Gardens store. I found a pair of patchwork flannel lounging pants am I had to have them. The manager took a pair right off the mannequin for me because I didn’t see them near it so I thought it was the last pair. The entire team were dressed up like minions and the lady that helped me was the manager so she was Drew. It just made the place feel so fun and that the team enjoyed their Black Friday assignment well. Turned out there was a whole rack of the pants near the register! When I got home my 13 year old admired the pants I put on as soon as I got home and told me she was going to be borrowing them. I immediately wanted to buy her some of her own so we could be twins. I took to the internet to try and see if I could order them for her but I found the size I wanted was all sold out. I was prompted to join a waitlist and that I’d be notified when they were back in stock. I joined it, and not even 3 hours later I was notified by text and email that I could now order the size i preferred because it was back in stock! I was overjoyed and IMMEADIEATLY processed my sale for two different color schemes on the app, where I received free shipping and 40% off. The way this system worked was seamless and I applaud UO for their service and for restocking so quickly so I still was able to get the Black Friday discounts. So happy right now about the gifts that my daughter will have under the tree at Christmas this year. Thanks Urban Outfitters!!!
This app has a very user friendly interface. It’s one of my favorite shopping apps. Yes, there are occasional product issues and size confusion, but that is par for the course with any shopping app. Their customer service is more than happy and willing to help you if you are having any issues. Returns are simple. As long as you can stay patient and understanding with the reps (and a possible wait time, but that’s not usual), you will love it. If holding, put it on speaker and multi task. The products that you are inquiring about, UO and is more than happy to resolve any issue asap. If you don’t think you can stay cool about order issues, you probably should be shopping in an actual store. The brands, sales, rewards, and diversity of products make UO the best place to shop for lifestyle living for all ages. It can literally be a one-stop app for the entire family and/or gifts, given the huge variety of products. Definitely check it out. Fun app, fun products (with a very large inventory), and a very kind customer service if needed. *I saw a review about not being able to use the “help/contact us” option in the app. That’s not true. They help you narrow down the problem before connecting you to an actual rep. I did it yesterday, and it took maximum eight minutes to get my refund confirmed and they rest of my order’s update from start to finish. Also, sign up for those emails! They’re constantly having deals and my favorite is the 40-60% additional savings on sale items, and the occasional % off of the entire app. That’s just some of it. Again, this app is super customer friendly and the only thing to practice when using this app (or any others, really), is patience and kindness with their customer service. *Quick Tip- if it says your item only has a few left, believe it. The app is always up-to-date. Enjoy your time shopping on the UO app!
I love UO, and would give 5 stars, but for the price I pay (UO is one of the pricey stores I shop at), I would except the folks that work in Customer Service to have their act together more. I placed an order and received it within three days. However, it was someone else’s order. I called that same day and was told they would process a new order and I requested it be overnighted to me. I called back a few days later and to follow up because I received no confirmation email and no new order. I was told could take up to to 3 business days. I placed my initial order and received it within 3 days...why when a mistake is made do I need to wait another few days? But I said I would be patient. Almost a week later I call back and now am told now that they are “behind” with processing orders that have had issues requiring review. I asked her to cancel the order and refund me. So she cancelled the order and I will get my $$ back within 3 business days. I asked for a confirmation number, but she said I would get an email confirmation. Why am I not so confident that will happen? Anyway, I placed an identical order for the same items. Why couldn’t that have happened to start? Why am I getting the run around when someone in distribution made the mistake? Also, I was told for my inconvenience, I might get some of my money refunded, “very little, like a dollar.” I have been a loyal customer for over ten years (check my online account and see how much I have spent), and I have had issues in the past. Few and far between, it happens..but I have never been so dismissed by a customer care department.
