toolani: International Calling

I used the app to make international calls for about a year. Suddenly I can't make calls to Germany anymore. Toolani told me that their partner increased fees and until they work this out I won't be able to call Germany any more. No warning, no apology. Although after I contacted support, they apologized. How gracious! Also, the phone book handling is terrible. You can't add or edit any numbers in the app. The app looks at your contact app on your phone instead. I really dislike this greatly. Who knows what they do with my contacts. I removed the app from my phone and will not use it again.

I have been using for several weeks to call from Germany to US. It is cheap as promised And has worked very well and easy to use. Only drawback so far is sometimes cuts off when talking. Have made enough good calls without cutting off - to be able to rate 4 stars. Would be 5 stars if not calls were cut off.

I called my mom in El Salvador three different times because I thought I had a bad connection at first. Then realized that after a while the same thing kept being said trying to confirm if we could hear each other ok. I stopped talking and it sounded like mom was still answering my questions but after maybe 30 seconds a loop of her same responses started. I let it run 2-3 times then for no reason the call went into voicemail!!! In the meantime I got fooled into using up some of my credit at .25/minute. So bizarre! I had not used the app in a while. Now I don’t trust using it but still have about $4 in it!!
