The Swaan Security Cameras fail to compete against other security surveillance brands out there. Their online softwares for computers and apps are not compatible with most devices. Navigating through their features are difficult since it doesn’t allow you to do anything. I can’t even scroll to a desired date and time on playback mode on my phone or computer. The system is outdated and useless. They advertise to their product to be easy and convenient which is completely false. I highly recommend users to not purchase Swaan products or use their apps. Judging by how many different versions of apps they have for a security system, it shows that they don’t update their systems, but rather create a new one and leave the old ones sitting there for their long term users to frustrate over.

About 2 years ago maybe longer, this worked perfectly. I had iPhone 6 Plus used phone for live view and if I needed to go back I could but I preferred to use computer for that feature. Every year I buy a new iPhone. Switched to 7 plus no problems. Then I got the iPhone X. App totally quit working. I can’t view any cameras at all. Just upgraded for XS Max same result. Can’t view cameras. But very sadly my hubby has THE competitors phone 🤮 and he’s switched phones 3 times and no problems for him. So it seems to me that this company has put in its time and energy in the competitor and left the iOS users high and dry. We have the better tech and Swann is lazy and has dropped the ball. So since we were going to add cameras we will NOT be purchasing Swann again and have to get their competitor. I have a star for each phone it worked on. I’ve never given below a 5 review. Was a good product and awesome app but we have been abandoned by Swann.

I just installed my system tonight. First of all, it took several hours to get the WiFi camera to connect. No instructions on how to configure the system for a WiFi camera. All the video hep clips on Swann’s website skip over the network and internet configs. After searching for 2 hours, finally found a video on Swann’s website (the video help tip wasn’t even for my system) for another network video recorder that explained what I needed to know in order to configure the NVR in order for the camera to connect wirelessly. As for the app, I have tested the motion and I do not receive any push notifications. I think I might just go back to the old school way on installing a camera system.
