I loved StarryAI for months and I used it daily. I became a pro member and the first three months were fantastic. No real issues. Once I extended my pro membership for another 3 months I immediately started noticing issues with speed, not just in the creations, but also with loading pages. It’s gotten so bad that I can no longer open any of my creations; I’m greeted with a black screen. The app crashes frequently and other times I just see a white screen with “StarryAI” and a perpetually spinning wheel when I try to open it. To top it off, customer service is ignoring me. It’s been over a week. I was told they would look into it. I want a refund and there is no response from these people. UPDATE: I requested a refund through Apple and it was granted. Interestingly, StarryAI responded to this negative review (suggesting I contact their support team, which I did almost two weeks ago) but not to my emails or to the open support ticket, except to tell me that they’d look into it. I had over 350 credits so I started using them last night and was greeted with a set of new issues. Repeated Apollo error messages that would appear on several images I tried to evolve, but not on others; images newly generated appearing with an old, completely unrelated prompt underneath, ie, a new image of a portrait of a boy showing up with the inaccurate prompt from an image of a tornado that was created weeks ago; and the wrong images appearing when I click to open and save my newly generated images. This place has serious issues.

I can’t say enough about this app! I am not an artistic person at all more of a left brain type but this app is a great outlet for me to express myself through a proxy. It fascinates me how it almost seems to know what kind of art would interest me even though there is no option for me to request these specifics. For example I’m a firm believer that the best art is offensive and should elicit strong emotional responses even if it is anger fear or embarrassment because that means it’s making some kind of strong connection to you and I found that this AI (of course I DONT know if it understands these things that could also be why it does them but I’m choosing to believe that it IS that smart) seems to integrate this concept into a lot of the pictures for me which I absolutely love. One thing I found terrifying no matter how I look at it makes me question the desire to use AI so frivolously and is because of the result that was produced from the words “peace at last” it gave a post apocalyptic scene of destruction that had become overgrown by nature due to the extinction of humans. Is this AI also prophetic or what?!?! Developers: Please make sure you program the AI never to want to destroy us or take over the world please! Remember even Hitler was an artist! I’m joking but also NOT joking. Thank you for this wonderful app and thank you to the merciful AI please try not to enslave all of humanity. Amen. 😋

i saw a post of someone using this app to make a picture of a topic i found interesting (that topic was the video game “Portal”) and i thought i would give it a shot. i will admit, i didn’t have high hopes, but it seemed fun to mess around with. i ended up trying the free version and thought it was kind of interesting, so i decided to get a week of premium to mess around with all of the tools to offer. needless to say, it really is incredible. some of the pictures that this has created is honestly kind of amazing for what you would normally expect from an app nowadays. i will admit, buying premium is quite expensive, and i do think if you buy premium you should be able to have more drawings per day, only because of how expensive it is. but that’s really my only compliant, either tone down the price or give much more freedom on making art. in the end, this app is genuinely unique and amazing, it just does suffer from the fact you need to pay quite a bit to tinker for a fraction of an hour. but personally, i found it worth my time. if i could i would give it 4.5/5, but it won’t let me, so a 5 will be fine. it’s not like this review matters, but i still hope that maybe one of the devs will see this and think about possibly giving people more art a day or lowering the price. but i do recommend this to anyone thinking about buying the premium, but only if you have money to spare, as again it is quite expensive. that’s all i have to say. fantastic app. great job to all of the creators
