Pretty good game. I like that it gives the option the The algorithm for the partner does not play very well, or like a typical human would play that actually knows the game. He consistently plays the wrong card and bids the wrong numbers. the Algorithm used in the computer partner it’s not very good at the game however, the competition plays very well together. For example, I playing ace of hearts, and then my partner plays the king of hearts which would lead me to believe he doesn’t have any more hearts, and then, in the next hand, he plays a lower heart, so he does not get the book for the king. The way it plays makes no sense. Algorithm used in the computer partner it’s not very good at the game however, the competition plays very well together. The way it plays makes no sense. of using the jokers and duce. It’s how I learned to play. The only drawback is the AI partner is not as good a player as I’d like. I just don’t understand why in the game if you bid one way, the AI partner plays a completely different way than if you bid another way. It makes absolutely no sense to me and I’ve deleted the game now because I hate it the planning of this AI algorithm or whatever it is is absolutely mind-boggling!!!
This is one of the only apps you can play joker joker deuce deuce, which automatically sets this app above the rest. The games are against real people, with a live chat. The chat can get reckless sometimes, but it’s no different than playing spades in real life…if you know, you know. The more games you win, the higher you rank & get to play against more competitive & skilled players. The lower ranked people tend to quit games more often, but when they quit you automatically win, which gets you more points toward your ranking & that much closer to playing against the more skilled players who prefer the competition & tend to finish games instead of quit. Very well made game and good for beginners also. The only downside to this app are some of the people that use it. So be prepared for the ignorance, trolls, and wanna-be comedians. You can also get temporarily banned for using profanity in the chat. Other than that, if you’re looking for a really good spades app, this is it.
I’ve been using this app for a few weeks now, and while I do enjoy it there are some improvements needed. The first is connectivity, players get disconnected mid-game I’d say 30% of the time. What’s strange is many of these players are fully active up until the moment they get disconnected. This is a frustrating experience, especially because games of Spades can last over 30 minutes. It’s disappointing to be on a winning streak, or a come back, only to have the game end abruptly. Apparently players also lose 3 points if disconnected, this hasn’t happened to me personally, but if it did with any frequency I would abandon the app all together. I speculate that these players are using their phones and/or not connected to WiFi? A few reccos- 1 if the former is the case, make it clear players should connect to WiFi. 2- I’d also recommend allowing ping time before disconnecting. The other area of improvement is better administration of chats. I’ve seen players verge on verbal abuse during games and contacting the app about it isn’t easy. Even in the common chats people use derogatory and hurtful language, specifically the throwing around homophobic terms. The functionality for turning off table talk doesn’t work either. That should be the very minimum of improvements on this matter I look forward to seeing better versions in the future
