Space Launch Now

I’ve been using this app to track launches and while it works well overall, the notifications haven’t worked properly for years now and it is extremely frustrating. There are toggles to track launches by specific agency or location, but they just don’t work at all. I’ve tried everything - deleting and reinstalling the app, updating IOS, and am on my second phone now while using this app. For a long time the notifications stopped completely. Recently after upgrading to iPhone 17 I was able to get notifications back on, but I get notified for every launch worldwide, regardless of settings. I don’t understand why this hasn’t been fixed after (with no exaggeration) years of the same problem. Considering the main purpose of using this app for me is to get notified of launches, I can’t give it more than two stars until they figure out how to fix this.

I have not tried any other apps. This one has some glitches, but I’ve enjoyed using it. Problem one: when you click on Explore to see the launch time, you can’t get back to the general launch countdown screen without closing the app entirely and reentering it. Problem 2: Sometimes the launch countdown resets itself and doesn’t tell us if the launch went off. It might be a delay, but it’s not clear. Problem 3: I have it set to alert me to a launch, but much of the time the alert comes AFTER the launch. Problem 4: I have it set to American location launches, but it shows me also New Zealand and other areas I can’t ever see. I wish these problems were corrected. It is exciting to see the rockets in the sky. It is worth the experience to try this app.

Kept me informed as was watching launch on Wednesday when weather delay cancelled. Thought I would not jinx it and turned to ABC, then CBS, then NASA for launch updates. When Ginger Zee, at 1505 et said, clouds were moving out it was hallelujah and then the launch itself at 1522 was spectacular for someone who grew up on the Gemini, Apollo, and Space Shuttle fights, it was a triumph for Elon Musk and his team, and was a very bright spot for the USA. That said, hope you guys and gals, can put an App together for future flights, besides going to NASA app for updates. Will be interesting to see space dragon finally catch up to ISS at 1027 et.
