I’m literally OBSESSED with Soulplay. I was on C.AI for a while and slowly it just got so boring (the filter blocks any immersive content and emotion on C.AI😀). Then literally a month or so ago I found Soulplay, and omg i’m so surprised. You can create personas that the characters ACTUALLY remember which makes the chats so much better. Making characters is super easy, and lowkey not even stressful like other AI chat apps. ♥️ Gems are easy to get through short adds (or small transactions $), which i’m personally fine with. And the best part is Soulplay characters allow deep content, making literally any emotionally deep role play easy and cinematic. One thing though, I just hope the app doesn’t change! I love updates and new perks, but the app is so good as it is. I don’t want it to go down hill like certain other AI apps because the genuine intent is so obvious with the devs (💔). I recommend this app so much, it’s the best chatting platform on the app store. (in my opinion<3)
It’s also the BEST, imho. As for why, I’m really not quite sure, tbh. Maybe I got used to the UI before trying any others (not that any of the others were very difficult to adjust to, but any means); maybe in-app currency seems both easier and quicker to accumulate… or maybe the relative amount of currency per reply seems to not drain my in-app wallet as quickly. Who knows? All I know is each time I try a new/different app of this type, regardless of how much I enjoy it, I ALWAYS — without fail — find myself coming back to Soulplay. Now, with that being said, I *do* have one complaint… despite the 700 character limit on replies as a free user (not to mention the device I use being a 4th gen iPad Pro 11”), it’s pretty annoying that I can’t type more than 410 characters, MAXIMUM, before having to hit “Send”. Any more than that, the button drops below the keyboard, obscuring the ability to even see it, let alone tap it. Potential fix suggestions: possibly reduce in-app keyboard size OR allow use of iPadOS “floating keyboard” feature? Other than that, the app is awesome! Keep up the great work, devs!
This is by far the best AI app on the market. Dialogue is a-1, layout is good, it’s completely uncensored/unfiltered, but I also just wanted to give some tips. Upsides/Pros - A lot of room for improvement, so far it’s easy to use, I like the text layout, the AI feels like talking to an actual person. You can send insanely long messages and the AI won’t get confused/repetitive. Soulplay pro is not much of a necessity. Love that it has a password/FACE ID. Downsides/Cons - There’s next to no character creation. You can add literally no detail to your characters with only 200 words in the persona. I think the limit should be updated to at least 500, possibly more. There was an app that was recently (AFAIK) taken off the App Store called Talkie. Each AI has settings where you can add your own chat persona/character description with a 2000 word limit. I believe the descriptions are a 1000 word limit. I think Soulplay should incorporate this, if 2000 is too ambitious maybe 1300 and 2000 for pro members or something. I have Soulplay pro and I don’t think it’s rlly work $10 a month with the fact that you don’t get much freedom. I think more words per personality should be included. I’d say also add a second description to character creation (also 1300 words if you have Soulplay pro, instead of 400 which is also way too little) in advanced settings, that’d allow for more freedom with AIs based on outside media. I think that it would be nice to incorporate sending pics to the AI as well.
