Me and my mates have been playing this game since 2008, it’s become a big thing in our group. The game itself is great, but the app needs a serious upgrade. Error messages have started to creep in more and more often, and the app hasn’t been updated in 5 years now. Seems like paying for gold membership only serves to fund the single player games rather than the multiplayer game that it’s built on. Put some effort into the Worlds app guys, it really needs it.

Really enjoy playing this game; its good fun and easy to manage and doesn’t take lots of time up. Transfer timings need to be improved so they happen faster. It takes ages for a bid to be accepted and then ages for the transfer to go through. Due to this other players manage to nip in and buy the player.

I’ve been playing this game since 2010, and a gold member since 2012 I think. For me to still be playing, let alone still enjoying an internet game like this for as long as I have is remarkable with my attention span. Two league games a week, this is ether a Saturday and Wednesday, or Sunday and Thursday. You also have midweek cup games as well as European games, results can be viewed shortly after 20:00. What got me hooked is the fact players get better or worse depending on how they’re performing in real life. It’s pretty satisfying paying peanuts for youngsters like Jason Sancho and co, and watch them develop into top players as you take your team from the 5th division to kings of Europe! Even more so in the very competitive Gold Worlds. Players ratings get changed twice a year for the top leagues, and I think once a year for the weaker ones. Other than the infuriating player concerns that where introduced a few years ago, I really couldn’t recommend this game enough. It’s a brilliant idea for a game; and great fun to play especially with friends and work colleagues. I gave the app 3 stars because every time I send or reply to a message on this app, at least half the message tends to vanish once sent. Sometimes to great amusement to the recipient, but other times I’ve lost out on a transfers. As well as that, I prefer the old interface on my laptop, so only use this app to check my results when on the go.
