SmartBank Mobile Banking

This app freezes too often. The last three times of me opening the app. I have to exit out close out my phone and start it up again before I can gain access. I’ve checked for recent updates and there is none available. I don’t have issues with my other bank apps.

I now see that it is not just me. The ability to receive transaction alerts has been removed. They made alerts accessible on the app now but they don’t work. Why add that feature if you aren’t going to enable it. Also, no more quick pin entry and transaction lists are now limited to about 60 days. The app did not change for the better. I have banked with SmartBank and its predecessors for over 30 years and have been extremely happy until now. I no longer live in the city where I opened my accounts and up until the app changes, I never felt the need to bank elsewhere. The app once made it possible for me to get daily balance alerts and notifications of every transaction. That was an incredible tool for money management and peace of mind. That is all gone now. The question is WHY?!?! I am now exploring other banking options for the convenience I once received with SmartBank. Don’t get me wrong, the bank itself and staff have always been great, but now that I am not close enough to take advantage of a local branch, the app is much less helpful with shortening the distance. I see others have been complaining about the app changes for a while but I also see the most important concerns have not been addressed. I just want to know if the issues are truly going to be addressed in the near future or will loyal customers continue to get the same canned responses with no resolution.

I needed the Smart bank app due to changing to better quality bank and I actually have only good things about this app , it does for me , every thing it says Logging in is so far a breeze with facial recognition and it performs all tasks for me Only bad about this is it doesn’t have the function of what I need on making a deposit of my monthly pay check into my checking account So if you ever provide that option for the camera to take pictures of front and back of check that’s required to make a deposit then gladly I will change my 3to a 5 Otherwise I’m extremely happy and satisfied with your app and anxious for the possible new feature I desperately need Thanks
