The migration from Slyphone to SlyNumber was a difficult process that should not have been. The password I had created and made note of didn’t work, and I could not use the reset link because it did not work either. Then, Customerservice could not locate me in their system even though I provided them with my customer ID number. After a couple of days I was able to login, but I can’t stay logged in on my mobile phone. I have to keep logging in which requires me to look up my registered email and password, which is quite inconvenient. The calls I have made have been OK, although sometimes there’s a lag issue or the connection isn’t ideal. But my two star rating is mostly focused on the difficulty and accessing slide number rather than the quality of the calls
The overall idea of the app is great, however, (1) would love the ability to send same text to multiple phone numbers. (2) for me this next flaw is MAJOR: for outgoing AND incoming calls (and texts) the timestamp is WRONG—it shows as “Yesterday” at an arbitrary time. It is crucial for me to know when I missed a call or when a voicemail was left. This bug popped up after using the app for a few months. (3) would be nice to know if text cannot be delivered because it’s a land line (texts sent regardless of ability for them to be received or not). I am still using app but looking for alternative.
My family and I are traveling to Europe for several months. We got slynumbers so people can call us on US numbers for personal and work wherever we are. For me, it was an added advantage that I can also use the number when I sign up for things like products (I just used it to sign up for ChatGPT) and my wife can put the phone number on her business's website so people can contact her and not have her actual cell number. Great price and works great!
