This app is incredibly buggy. programming a shade is nearly impossible. You get wildly different results trying to perform the same procedure. You basically just have to do the same procedure over and over again until eventually it works… For a while, shades that were functional yesterday no longer work today sometimes shades just up and disappear from the app. Sometimes while trying to program the shade that was working yesterday again today the app will just crash. I would give this app a zero star rating if I could. I plan on returning all of my motorized shades and just getting ones with pull cords because using this app is so frustrating.
I should never have upgraded to their new version. Now when I tap the “ Deactivate routine” button it turns red for a few seconds then turns back to grey. No way to deactivate routines unless you just outright delete them. I’m using Apple iPhone with latest system software. The “don’t make it worse than the original” rule should only be broken by movie studios, not by software engineers.
In order to set any routines for your blinds to open at certain times, you have to set your time zone. But the time zone doesn’t stick, so you have to log in every time to set your time zone. So in order for your blinds to operate on their own, you have to log into the app to set your time zone, which means you may as well just log in and manually control your blinds (which you also need to set your time zone to do). The layout of the app is great and I like the functionality, but this flaw renders the app essentially useless.
