Rave reviews for this app’s support services. Extremely helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. The issues we experienced with the setup of the hub were due our home wifi extender. Tech support diagnosed the issue and walked me through setup. Once that was complete, connecting the shades from Budget Blinds was very easy. The app is pleasant to use once you learn what needs to be done. Overall, I think the app deserves a much higher rating than it currently enjoys. If you experience issues, call tech support. They’ll get you going!

This was infuriating - after digging around and a lot of trial and error I disconnected from WiFi and used cellular to get past the “select your time zone” screen and complete the setup. The error message of “resetting your settings” was completely unhelpful. If I didn’t have to use this app I wouldn’t. Still two stars cuz at least it worked eventually and setting up the shades was pretty straightforward

So I’ve had the motorized blinds for Budget Blinds installed for about 4 months now. I can definitely say that this is the most unreliable smart home products I have ever used. Not only does the Smart Home collection app fail to communicate with the App, but the Alexa voice experience is very unreliable and the Apple HomeKit integration is the worse. Almost all the of the time HomeKit status is no response. If you buy the motorized blinds expect to use it only with their remote. If you want a better smartphone experience you’ll need to upgrade to something more reliable like the Lutron Serena shades. I don’t think budget blinds should be selling this product as a smart home solution.
