I bought my bike with this “tuner” already on it. I have had maybe 1 or 2 successful smart tuning sessions with it out of probably 15-20 attempts. Most of the time it won’t even start the smart tune feature or even allow me to flash a premade map. When it does decide it wants to work. I usually have a good ride and when I’m done I’ll leave the bike running, hit the stop button and “save” the log. Well when i try to find the recording it doesn’t even exist apparently. So to sum it up, if you wanna waste hundreds of dollars and make yourself mad everytime you try to use it there isn’t a better product out there than this. Otherwise, id recommend a powervision since you can actually tune your bike and it runs much better than it ever will on this junk.
App is slow with Bluetooth connection and cuts in and out so often I just shut it off, even with a good wifi connection & Bluetooth and with bike sitting in my house garage then tuning they say a couple minutes ha ! I would start the download process for the tune and have walk away keeping everything in close proximity and return after 30 minutes with out it being completely done , tried deleting app reinstalling, rebooting , at that point I’m frustrated and shut everything down ! Waste of money if you ask me !
Harley definitely needs to improve this app. When I go to unit at any given time, I have to remove the app and reinstall it before it will connect to the pro Street tuner. When working within the app itself, and trying to go from one screen to another, I literally have to tap on something 6 to 10 times before it will respond. No, I do not have a screen protector on my cell phone, so that’s not the issue. Like a lot of manufacturers, it’s an interesting time right now. Fixing the big things is actually easy to do, fixing the small things is a little bit more challenging, but it seems Harley’s not worried about the little things.
