Sena Motorcycles

It’s 2026. All hardware and apps should integrate with smartphone Bluetooth systems. I should be able to say the Alexa, Siri or Bixby keywords. It should allow you to read text messages and send with speak to text. This is not an elite feature anymore, it’s a requirement. This app fails to deliver the basics. The equalizer is terrible and should have a custom setting not presets. Come one folks.. come to the future already…

I spent **$1,200** on four New devices, expecting seamless performance, but instead, I’ve been met with **constant frustration**. No matter which phone I use—Android or iOS—the **Sena Motorcycles App** fails to connect properly. It loops endlessly between **“Remote Connected”** and **“Remote Disconnected”**, never allowing me to access other settings beyond the basic connection instructions. I followed every troubleshooting step, including a **manual firmware update, factory reset, and multiple re-pairing attempts**, yet the app remains utterly **unusable**. At this point, I have to ask: is **Sena abandoning its own products**, or is there a **better open-source alternative** that actually works? This has been a **complete waste of time and money**, and I regret not going with **Cardo**, which seems to offer far more reliable options. If Sena wants to keep customers, they need to **fix their software immediately**—otherwise, they’re digging their own grave.

Update: less than a week after this review and Sena fixed the issue. Both helmets are connecting to the app again and working fine. Updated firmware for only the Sena branded helmet as the HD was up to date. All is now working well now and pairing with the app as intended. Thank you for looking into the issue Sena! Been trying for an hour, waste of money when you have a brand new helmet and it won’t connect to the app for an update or help with pairing. Great job Sena! My Sena branded helmet worked fine before and it’s also locked out of the app now, only six months old. Don’t know what you guys are doing but you were once the leaders in helmet comms, not so sure about that.
