I spent **$1,200** on four New devices, expecting seamless performance, but instead, I’ve been met with **constant frustration**. No matter which phone I use—Android or iOS—the **Sena Motorcycles App** fails to connect properly. It loops endlessly between **“Remote Connected”** and **“Remote Disconnected”**, never allowing me to access other settings beyond the basic connection instructions.
I followed every troubleshooting step, including a **manual firmware update, factory reset, and multiple re-pairing attempts**, yet the app remains utterly **unusable**. At this point, I have to ask: is **Sena abandoning its own products**, or is there a **better open-source alternative** that actually works?
This has been a **complete waste of time and money**, and I regret not going with **Cardo**, which seems to offer far more reliable options. If Sena wants to keep customers, they need to **fix their software immediately**—otherwise, they’re digging their own grave.

I purchased 2 Sena Outrush R helmets for my wife and I. I’m pretty tech savvy so this is not user error. I updated firmware on both helmets, downloaded the app on both iPhones, and connected both helmets to their respective phone via Bluetooth. First the app would not recognize the connection and continually asked me to “retry”, still no connection. Secondly, while the helmet was connected via Bluetooth to the phone it continuously cut in and out when testing with music (embedded bluetooth is garbage!). Finally, after hours of updating phones, helmets, factory resets etc. I am returning the helmets. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE SENA PRODUCTS AGAIN!

Update: less than a week after this review and Sena fixed the issue. Both helmets are connecting to the app again and working fine. Updated firmware for only the Sena branded helmet as the HD was up to date. All is now working well now and pairing with the app as intended. Thank you for looking into the issue Sena!
Been trying for an hour, waste of money when you have a brand new helmet and it won’t connect to the app for an update or help with pairing. Great job Sena! My Sena branded helmet worked fine before and it’s also locked out of the app now, only six months old. Don’t know what you guys are doing but you were once the leaders in helmet comms, not so sure about that.
