The Sac Grid app is especially handy for finding city events, concerts, and a full list of locally owned restaurants and shops. For locals by locals and it is easier to navigate than other apps. Check out the New in Town category to get a complete list of recent dine/shop openings and the 2nd Sat tab has new art exhibits posted every month.
I haven't used this app all that much yet, but it seems accurate and it's also very well designed and clean looking. A lot of good features too. Can't wait to use this more.
