As much as I like delving into my favorite universes, I kind of would like to be able to submit universes and OCs a bit more freely, or at the least I would appreciate clarity on whether a submitted character or universe is rejected or not. Sometimes when I submit a character or universe, they never show after a day or two. Just saying. Also, I thought about creating universes based on the Legend of Heroes series or the Octopath Traveler games, are those too complex for this software? Because creating them with the ai doesn’t generate the characters I was expecting.
This is the second best AI rpg type app I’ve seen but while the other one is much smarter in general this one may be better with character interactions feeling a little more real, less like a generic yes man. The other is (AI Dungeon.) They both have the same problem though. The AI will do a great job with the story & encounters for a while but even if you race through a story even if it’s just like a quick one shot quest. Before you finish your first quest the entire thing starts to unravel. The ai forgets what happened one post ago very often. It will skip back to way early in the story as if you continuing back from a post you made at the beginning. It will start replacing party members with characters you met at the very beginning, characters will randomly disappear, the whole fabric of the world just falls apart. I feel this app lasts longer than the others & does do a great job up until that point. It’s just frustrating when it feels like things are just getting good & then everything starts malfunctioning. It is also frustrating when you burn through 10 tokens just trying to remind the AI what’s happening because it can’t remember the past what’s happening or who is there. It feels like that’s the problem with all these AI rpg apps. It would be cool if when it forgets things if it would forget the oldest posts & remember the more recent posts so you can continue more easily but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Even when you try to keep reminding it of the important things. All & all I like it. All the apps seem to baby you. Like nothing you try will ever fail.. but you are the storyteller so treat it like a story more than a game. It’s cool watching these things evolve through so keep it up.
I would love to be able to add my own characters to some of these worlds, such as having my own story and characters in the Harry Potter, My Hero Academia, and One Piece. Besides that I also would love to continue the stories ahead, you know? Like I want to graduate from Hogwarts and work a job, find the One Piece without it going in a loop again, and become the number one hero without it resetting all over again.
