Repton 1

I've wasted endless hours playing repton as a child and was so excited to see it available on the App Store. It didn't disappoint and not ashamed to say I've wasted hours playing it as an adult now too. Love the fact you can have the original retro graphics and there's plenty of scenarios to keep you busy. Would LOVE robbo too!!! (Hint hint)

Good repro of the REPTON game that brings back good memories of a (misspent) youth! Two downsides tho. One, sometimes the next map doesn't load properly and you end up with the same level as last time but with a different colour (fixed by exiting then reloading... I guess a bit like back on the Beeb!) Two, some of the levels you have to buy after buying the full fat app. Not on! Any idea if there will be future lvls (around the world in 40 screens? Life of...? Thru time?)

I loved this game on the old Acorn Electron back in the 80s. Although not the "data missing, rewind tape" messages. I think I had all the Repton games as they were an excellent mix of fun and strategy. Still are with this excellent recreation. I hope Around the World in 40 screens makes it to iPhone. Really enjoying playing through the levels again. Keeps you interested as some of the boulder/diamond/getting blocked in challenges are still taxing all these years later. Great game and delighted to see it on iPhone. Thoroughly recommended and not just for those seeking nostalgia. Stands up against today's releases in its own right. 5 out of 5 from me.
