I wanted to love this game. As a sudoku player, this seemed like an easy, relaxing game that would perhaps be more chill than sudoku. But it’s infinitely more frustrating than sudoku. The games first few levels hold your hand, like you’re an idiot and can’t actually do a logic puzzle on your own. Then as the game progresses, there are levels where there is no logical reason to place a crown in a specific square. There will be two crowns left to place, but it could literally go in two different places and be correct. 50/50 chance with both options being accurate, apart from what the game has programed as correct. Maybe if they allowed for either answer to be correct because THEY BOTH ARE it would be better. In sudoku, there is only one right answer because logically, the numbers can only go one place. In this game, there aren’t as many variables to create a game board where only one solution is correct. The preprogrammed “correct crown placement” forces you to guess where the crown goes. It feels like just another way to make you watch ads so the game developers can make money.
I don’t know if I’m missing something, but it seems in the beginning of the game, there is no rhyme or reason to putting a “crown” in a certain spot. And when you make a mistake, you’re forced to watch a commercial. That’s A LOT of commercials, so it wastes a lot of time. That’s the frustrating part. However, it is very nice that you have unlimited lives, because I saw other similar games only allow 3, which is impossible. Can you please provide an update to make it easier to solve, especially at the beginning? Thank you. THIS IS AN UPDATE: Enjoining the game now: rule I didn’t know about which all makes sense & makes the game more fun and fluid. 5 stars now!!! Rules: only 1 queen per row & column AND no queens in a perimeter around the queen. YAY. Hope this helps, wasn’t made clear in the instructions.
Very fun so far, nice and simple gameplay with logic needed to solve multiple puzzles. The only thing I think is the problem is that it’s too simple in some regards. I think only a few changes or additions would make it better, like a function to hold down instead of quickly double-tapping and a dark mode. Simple additions to a simple game would make my review 5 stars. Still, I like the game so far, I haven’t seen anything too similar to it. It reminds me of Minesweeper and Sudoku mixed together with chess elements. Finally, if you’re actually reading this dev(s), keep up the good work!
