Where’s TIDAL Connect?
Posted this to Primare’s website helpdesk last week but no reply to date: When I stream music from by Apple iPad (IoS version 15.7) to Prisma via airplay, the Prisma IoS app (latest version) reports that the bit rate of the stream is only 256 kbps, although I am streaming from lossless sources. Examples: streaming ALAC files from my local library via the JRiver app (set to stream without compression) and from the Radio Paradise IoS app with audio quality set to ALAC. Could this be a glitch hanging over from times when Apple only supported lossy AAC files? Is the music somehow being compressed by Prisma? My I15 is connected to my local network via ethernet, not WiFi, not sure if that is relevant. Thanks.
