Pocket Politics: Idle Money

It’s sucking the fun out of the game big time. I constantly get “ads aren’t available” messages constantly. For a game that requires ad watching in order to make any significant progress, this is killing the game. I’ve been playing this and other Kongregate games for years now and it is getting unbearable. Please either fix the problem or patch the game so that you automatically get the reward if you click the button and the game says ads aren’t available. It’s just bad form to punish us for your mistakes. I’m going to take a break from your games until I read patch notes saying the ad problems have been fixed. Please don’t just put a generic statement like “bug fix” in your patch notes or I won’t know that the ads were fixed and won’t start replaying. Meanwhile I’m going to try out some other developers games to see if maybe their ad system doesn’t punish my gameplay like yours does. I hope you guys can resolve this. If I haven’t really connected with another game already, I’d love to come back. It been fun (except the past few months) and I hope the best for the developers to turn things around.

Love the game and have been playing for at least 2 years The only thing that really annoys me is when the ads don’t play. The multiplier and bonus would help a lot but the ads don’t play 50% of the time. They have great customer service though and seem to realize that the game isn’t perfect. I wish they would start working on bugs though instead of focusing on new features. The wardrobe that they added is just a waste of gold. I would much rather have the ads work or the game never crash than waste gold on a shirt that gives a tiny bonus. The game gets kind of boring once you get so far. I’ve renounced 20+ times, collected all of the epic badges and extra stuff. I look forward to the events but once they are over the main game is just boring now to me. I feel like I don’t have anything else to work towards besides renouncing over and over. If you are going to add new features, it would be nice to add something that is fundamental to the main game instead of the wardrobe you guys threw in to get some extra cash out of people. I love the events, they are usually the perfect difficulty level in my opinion. I’ve been on the top 50 list and I’ve ranked in the thousands but it’s nice to get rewards no matter how you do. Also, don’t bother trying to get the free gold. They almost never pay out and it’s a waste of time. Overall, the game is fun and addicting. The customer service is great and always willing to do what they can to make up for what you missed out, and the events are the best part of the playing.

I have to say it was fun for about fifteen minutes, at least before the money earning got slow and an event started where I literally had no idea how to earn stuff or how it worked, and even when I did the prizes were lame AF. Maybe try something like Fortnite where you can earn dance moves, costumes, rare collectible items and other things instead of earnings bonuses, multipliers and the ability to hold a donut. I’m giving this game three stars for the concept matching my current mental state and the fact that it allows me to follow my dream of becoming President someday without actually having to put in all the effort. I think it would be cool if you could design your own candidate with a slogan, name, avatar, party and everything instead of some liberal/conservative candidate with a crack name like Doby Jackalope (not an actual one but you get the idea). Also an art style improvement like making it 3D would definitely be something to consider (not saying the current art style is bad, just cringey like the character designs and overall drawings). Also, whenever I exited the game no matter what I did I could not get rid of the notification telling me I forgot to turn on my ad bonus, which I could not find. One of the things I hate in games (and I tend to try not to hate things) is notification spam. Some of my favorites have this issue and it’s terribly annoying. Please stop sending me notifs every ten seconds for something unimportant. Overall I think it has pretty good mechanics and the basics are there, but the game itself just needs some work. Bonus points for having events pre-suggestion.
