Pioneer Remote App

Doing searches are a little cumbersome and there some things that could be improved but my evaluation on the app is it does what i need it to do. All i do is open the app to turn on the receiver and pick Pandora and Tidal to stream and it does that perfectly. Another thing I don’t like is on Tidal when i add tracks it keeps them in order from date, but in the pioneer remote app it automatically sorts it by alphabetical order which completely messes up the order i like to listen to my tracks but besides that and the search it does what i need it to good enough to get 5 stars but that’s because im a nice person :-)

I have used the iControl App for many years and loved it. This “new” app is a step backwards in so many ways. Like.... when trying to change the volume on my VSX-LX304 Elite receiver, using the iPad app on a brand new iPad runnin iOS 13.3, the Pioneer app simply hangs. Come on engineers? I can see having your stuff not be tested on four or six year old iPads running old iOS versions, but not having your app work with the latest hardware and software is pretty lame. On my iPad app, I Can’t pull up the volume, can’t change sources, nothing works when trying to get to the buried layer required to change the volume. I have to shut down the app and grab my iPhone. Speaking of volume, hey Pioneer team, how about making the volume available on the main app screen and not making us have to go two levels deep to use THE most used feature of any AV Receiver app??

I noticed other comments regarding this same phenomenon. I use the APP to save the EQ settings they way I like them. Then, the next time (and every time) I turn the receiver on, the EQ settings are flatlined and I have to open the APP and re-load them. This is very annoying. Apparently this is not fixable or the developers would have corrected it by now. Other than that, the app is OKAY. Controlling Pandora from the APP is hit or miss. Sometimes it links up ok and works, sometimes it does not. Please fix the EQ problem, we are paying customers! Thank you.
