I have ADHD & itโs been challenging as an adult with chronic health problems that exacerbate ADHD symptoms. Numo is the first app so far to help me stay on track, or ar least remind me when I veer off of ir for more than a few days like other apps I tried! Iโm going on about a week & it seems helpful! Iโve tried doing the same thing with other reminders apps, even Appleโs Reminders app but the layout & platform of Numo just works better for making my brain WANT to use it! Iโm not 100% sure why but Iโm very grateful to use it for the last week & itโs helped me be about 80% consistent on my morning & night routines versus being so sporadic before, and maybe 50% consistent with the mid-day routine. But even that is showing me how much more distracted I get during certain hours of the day which is helpful & I didnโt fully realize how much until now! Thanks so much Numo for providing this free app to help us be for functional as adults & feel better about how we tackled the day!!!!! Please keep the app free! ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐ค๐ค
Disclaimer: I was invited to a clinical trial and given 3 months free of the premium subscription, so I donโt know what the free version of the app is like. Pros: The app design is top-tier for (my) ADHD. The interface is minimalistic, colorful, and simple to use. It has satisfying sounds and haptics, but not so much as to be annoying. It has a reward system for using the app and its features. The rewards only unlock aesthetics (themes, icons, etc.). It has a community feature which I have yet to use. Cons: The app has some minor typos. It has learning courses that are concise. It has a reader function for the text and some memes to go along with it. The app allows you to customize the speed of the reader and also the time delay after the slide is finished. HOWEVER, my experience with the customization was disappointing. I donโt like to hear a voice while reading text. Iโd rather just read the text without the voice; or, listen to the voice while associated images are displayed. The problem Iโve noticed: I can turn off the voice but the slides automatically move on and I canโt read fast enough or process the information before it advances. This, of course, depends on your reading speed. For me, this is a MAJOR block to using the app effectively, and I would love to have an option to advance slides MANUALLY. Overall, Iโd gladly give it 5 stars and will update my review if this ever gets changed. The app is wonderful to look at and use! Thank you for inviting me to the clinical trial, Iโm looking forward to improving my ADHD symptoms using it.
there are many things that this app does well, but there are two main issues that would prevent me from subscribing. first, this app does not seem to be written well in english. i am not sure if itโs translated to english, but either way it needs to be written better. itโs written well enough that i know what itโs saying, but it takes a lot of mental energy to understand. secondly, $15-$16 a month is waaaaaaaay too expensive for this app. especially considering this app is for people with ADHD, it should be priced at $1-$3/month. with those improvements, i would definitely subscribe and continue using this app. and before i get a reply from one of the app developers saying โoh but a subscription to this app is ____ less than an ADHD coach on average,โ why do you think so many of us donโt seek out ADHD coaches? when you price the app so highly it makes me feel as though the app is trying to profit from my disability rather than help. if these changes are made i will happily edit my review to 5 stars, because otherwise i think the app has some very useful features. also, just wanted to add that itโs very obvious that lots of the reviews are fake, which feels dishonest especially when creating an app to help individuals with ADHD.
