In sum, don’t download the app and do not bank with them. Any other option is better in the UAE, they are a nightmare and clearly the management is incapable of listening to customers and making improvements. In 2024, they don’t even need to be innovative to create a decent app (since others have paved the way) but even that is too much to ask. The app freezes each time you change windows, make any request, you cannot update any details, it is just the worst experience trying to manage your own money. A friend had their card stolen and it took 4 minutes to block the card with Mashreq since the app kept freezing compare that to 20 seconds on competitor banking apps. It’s just hard to describe how much I regret opening this account, banking with Mashreq, and the time they waste because of their inefficiencies. I’ve now found a reasonable business bank (W)and I won’t ever be using Mashreq or their dreadful app again! You can’t survive in this market with a product this poor!

I have personal bank accounts in 3 other banks, the digital apps are super efficient and user friendly; but, my neobiz app is simply a nightmare from malfunctioning Face ID, to very complex transfer process and no way to do two transfers back to back, adding beneficiary is a disastrous process, outdated interface with two almost similar contents, the web-based version is no difference.

First of all, the face ID doesn’t work properly, it blinks multiple times and takes forever to login. And god forbid, if you try to add beneficiary, it’s gonna be a nightmare for you. You cannot paste the IBAN, you have to manually enter 23 digits IBAN, which is ridiculous. Then after verifying OTP it requires for your password again, (not the face id) which also you have to enter manually. I use strong passwords from my iphone password chain, so you’d understand my frustration.
