Trash service and zero customer service. I’ve been hung up on 4 times today and haven’t had service since last night. The automated system takes you no where and is easy to make mistakes. The hold time is ridiculous and after hours of trying I called and selected the new service option and was connected to somebody right away when I explained my frustrations and what was going on and asked to be transferred to an actual human being because the automated system they said they were connecting me, put me on hold for a ridiculous amount of time and then hung up on me three separate times on top of me being on hold earlier in the morning and getting hung up on and I’ve received zero callbacks. My service has been interrupted several times over the past few months, but this one being the longest with the website and app showing no outages no way to troubleshoot it and absolutely zero explanation from anyone on why I don’t have Internet I’ve also never messed a bill. I set up for auto pay and they sure have no problem taking my money on time every month. I am not a person who leaves reviews at all, but this has been such a nightmare experience that I think other people should know so I will be posting this exact review everywhere I can and hopes I can save someone else from CenturyLink
I’m very displeased with the work ethic, when it comes to calling customer service, I’ve talked to more than 10 representatives, each rep with the same old story, they state the problem you are having and instead of committing in actually helping you, they give you a number to call, when you do, again you speak to someone and they tell you the same exact line, so now you are dialing back and forth between the same numbers looking for a rep, at that point you know it’s a lie, so you are stuck trying to find someone that is willing to help, this will cost you hours and frustration, not only that but when I signed up, I ordered a modem with the service, turns out it never arrived, again dialing back and forth, I finally spoke with someone who I thought could help, they stated that no modem was ordered, they proceeded to order one for me they went as far as to tell me 3to4 days, I waited, I was a bit concerned, I called again, had to go through the back and forth process again, I finally found someone to help, luckily this rep was very helpful and explained that still no modem was ordered… I was relived finding that nice rep, he actually helped. I lost more then a week’s worth of service which I am getting a credit for not sure if that’s true but we’ll see.. at this moment this is the only provider that works in my area, I was originally going for ATT.. as a customer to your service, I highly recommend you sharpen your customer service reps, the customer service departments are without a doubt causing a lose in many of your new valuable & reliable customers. I couldn’t imagine what I’m going to deal with, when I have issues with my service further down the line.
I think the worst part about CenturyLink is the monopoly that they have is that no matter what without their service you can’t update your telephones can’t update your computer anything that have to do with Internet updates you can’t do no matter how many time to call now how many time do you have your unit replaced by then you’re paying for a service you don’t get it. Surprising that nobody’s brought a lawsuit against them and I can understand that because of the amount of money it would take to bring a lawsuit against him with the completely impossible for the average resident they apologize to everybody but they don’t do anything every day I try to reset my modem and I get nothing every day and so it makes me not even want to call him because the technicians end up with a computer talking to a computer talking to your computer till you get a human person and they don’t know anymore than the computer knows until after hours especially with the telephone you lose your high-speed data that you have and then you have to wait almost a month so you can use your telephone because you’re how do you get it from use that so with that you’re basically screwed because today’s time and high-tech they shouldn’t have these problems if our telephones can work great but if you can’t update them why I have them my telephones are either dead because I can’t update them I don’t see why you can’t update your telephones through the normal service that you have without having to use Wi-Fi in your own home when you have it but you can’t use it because Centurylink Phone doesn’t work
