Morphin – CGI GIF Studio

This is pretty awesome! It will render a 3D model to put your face on and edit that in a popular gif. This kind of thing would take hours any other way from scratch but processes it in seconds. Currently there are a fair amount of gifs to choose from and the entry to show new users is done really well. There are some limitations like a limited library of gifs (for now). I’m not sure if it’s possible but it would be super nice if we could upload our own gifs. Another suggestion for the secs is to add a search. That library will grow so that would make it easy to find certain gifs. At least you can change faces while thru scrolling the gif library. Nice touch! I have about eight faces in my library. Most are from images of my friends. Lighting and a solid color backgrounds are key for the best chances of using a selfie or image. You will want to have the subject facing you without glasses if you can. Make sure that any images you use is bigger than a thumbnail size and clear. The app will try to zoom in on it which makes it pixelated or blurry and it does not like blurry images. So far, it doesn’t seem to recognize cartoon characters or animals. It would be hilarious to use your favorite cartoon character or pet frog in a gif. At this time the app is free with no advertisements. Keep in mind that it’s still in development. I plan on using it a whole lot and look forward to seeing what the devs do to make it better. Cheers!

I love the capabilities this app does have. As a video artist I love apps like this. This one is especially unique in how it functions, and the result is VERY interesting. I do, however, find the selection of clips I can generate to be quite limited, and most are taken from existing media and memes (even if they are mostly recreated with CGI). So I wanted to suggest the following to the devs: Make a bunch of your own clips for the app. Just random actions and captions and costumes and stuff to generate an animated character GIF. Bonus points if you have an option to choose a background/environment, or if the clips have a green screen/transparent background. It would expand the app’s capabilities so that it could function as both a fun toy AND a unique artist’s tool. Just a thought. Keep on keepin’ on!

Been using this at work for a thread with my coworkers, minds were blown. I was asked “What is happening?” and told “You are a God.” or maybe he said “I am dead.” Referencing how he was amazed and thought he may have crossed over lol. The first day I started using the app my fellow employees were sending requests lol. They had no idea that this app allowed me to create some hilarious GIFs. GIFs have been steadily added weekly/biweekly it seems. Every time I open the app I can’t wait to see what has been added. Keep up the good work.
