The game is generally fun, but there are quirks that should be easy to fix, but have lingered for years. First, the game sometimes lags/stutters when you play. It’s random. It usually plays fine but sometimes it lags/stutters to the point where it’s unplayable. I have to just close the app and wait a couple hours, and then it works again. (Immediately reopening the app after closing it does not fix the lag/stutter). The other problem is the scrambles in scramble mode. Once you get to high levels, the scrambles become the determining factor as to whether or not you beat the tile bot. I know when the board is first presented whether or not I’m going to beat the tile bot with 90% accuracy. The games is not fun like this. What needs to happen is the game should keep track of your history for scrambles, and it should present you with puzzles that you historically have almost won but lost, or just barely won. This keeps it challenging. Instead what happens is you get an easy puzzle and you win easily. Then you get an impossible puzzle and barely get started before tile bot finishes. And it just becomes a frustrating exercise in waiting for a random string of easier puzzles.
I agree with other players that whomever changed the game, and made it harder to advance, ruined the game for me. I have been playing this ever since it was selected for the iPhone. I have loved it and played it for hours on end. I know when something has changed. Also the bot cheats, as others have said. I will look over and there are plenty of tiles left, and I am beating the bot. Next thing I know, the bot wins. When you changed the difficulty of the game, I have gone down 6 or 7 levels. If your purpose was to see that people have a very hard time of just advancing, you have succeeded. If has ruined the game for me though. Sorry. You lost a long-time fan.
When I first started playing this game about a month ago it started out great. Now that I’ve gotten up to the higher levels I find that the little guy I’m challenging goes really fast at times. We can be running about even and then the next second he’s done. Plus when I tap on my squares at times it won’t register so here I think I got it and then I look back and the two tiles have not left. This was the only game I was playing, I was hooked but now I find I have extra time to play my other Mahjong games because I am no longer hooked on either on these games. So I have been reading all of these reviews and I have noticed most of then are from 2 years or older except for one and now this one. Sure wish you all would fix this, I would be willing to pay for this game if it ran right.
