MeAgain: GLP-1 Tracker App

I started this along with zepbound. Unlike most diets where I had to keep track so I wouldn’t eat too much…i needed help making sure I ate enough and enough of the right stuff. Tracking food is really easy - barcode, voice, and amazingly accurate, the photo of a plate…I had fun taking pictures of what I thought would be difficult meals and being surprised how accurate the AI was. I really only have 2 nitpicks…one, I wish I could have a reminder for my dose but none of the other nanny or praising reminders but these are all or none. Two, I wish bookmarking favorite meals was easier - there is a way but it is a lot of clicks and I don’t think it is much faster than just entering it from scratch (you have to get to the right page, then pick bookmarks, then pick food log, then adjust the date, then log, and save. I’d like to see one click to the bookmark page and the app smart enough to know I mean today and that I want to log it. I love the overview of progress and even the estimate of current zepbound level which is interesting to look at vs any side effects or food thoughts. Overall, the app with the premium membership is worth the price.

This app exceeds all expectations I had! I love the capybara widget I can put on my home screen so I know to keep him happy. It encourages the right behaviors and has made being on Zepbound easy so far. I had done WW previously and that was so bad for my mental health because the points were a "countdown" to me and I would hate getting close to zero so I cheated a lot. Where this one encourages you to actually grow your numbers and eat more (of the right things). The photo feature for taking pics of nutrition info can be a little hit or miss on accuracy so I do have to double check to make sure it captured correctly. Otherwise it's easy enough to enter in. And I appreciate the feature to take a pic of your food to have it estimate the nutritional value. Even if it's not precise, directionally it seems good enough! I also like that it doesn't annoy me with notifications. Just one in the morning and then seeing Barry (what I named my capybara) on my home screen are the right reminders for me.

I never have written a review for an app but felt that the support I’ve received from the MeAgain staff warranted saying something. I have been using the app daily for four months. During the first month I bought a new iPhone and was trying to migrate my data from the old phone. I had quite a mess. Customer support and assistance from Rodrigo (a co-founder of MeAgain) was stellar. He really went above and beyond to ensure my issue was completely resolved. Once migrated into the new phone, I was having duplicate notifications. I did a lot of troubleshooting with Apple and finally decided to reach out to MeAgain support. Once again Rodrigo was involved and really went the extra mile to resolve the issue. I’m thrilled to be using this app to support me during my GLP1 experience. It has been very helpful to see the medication level estimates to be able to plan injections and meals around that. I’m a data driven person and the app has aided me in losing 47 lbs during these four months. I have a lengthy journey ahead of me but know that the MeAgain team will be there to support my efforts with ongoing enhancements to the app every step of the way.
