LuggageHero: Luggage Storage

As an American traveling in Europe with a bicycle, I stumbled across this solution. It was recommended by the airport Authority and I really had no idea what it was. I thought I would arrive to a luggage storage facility… But instead I arrive to a more private(convenience store) who would be handling my luggage. I kind of think about it like AirBnB for luggage where individuals/businesses can rent their space to store your luggage. It was the absolute perfect for me as I was traveling with my family and then going on a bike excursion. I was safely able to leave my bicycle for 10 days and pick it up later on the rest of my trip.

A very nice lady took our bags and checked them back to us 5 hours later. We got off a cruise and wanted to try some authentic Cuban food before heading home. We got linked up with a local tour group for a food crawl. Bags were where they should be and they were undisturbed. Check in and check out was very smooth (took 1-2 minutes going in and about 1 minute going out). The area to the north and south of this location is the Little Havana area that you want to visit. Lots of cigar shops, souvenir stores, many murals/artwork and lots of restaurants in the area. Remain on 8th Street if you go for food or a tour, as everything else in the area is basically residential. Safe area is both sides of 8th Street running roughly 5-6 blocks north and roughly 8-10 blocks south. We saw police on horseback patrolling regularly. If you are traveling and have time available before you trip leaves, it was worth the time.

We were hesitant about using this service. However, the trip from the airport took much longer than expected, and we were about to lose our reservation into the Louvre. So we looked up reviews and went for it. Once we arrived and the person working, perhaps the store owner, greeted us, we already felt more comfy. His store was spotless and he had a luggage storage space downstairs. Remember this was never part of our plan so we had to leave all our stuff minus purses. My laptop was in my bag. My sister also had electronics in her bag. Nothing was amiss. He greeted us when we came back and all was good. Our stuff was there for about 2.5 hours so we paid the three hours. It was worth it. Thanks a million to the previous reviewers. We will absolutely use this service again.
